Vortex Premium Collection Movie 4: Metanoia and the Adventures is a 2020 Japanese-Indonesian comedy adventure film directed by Greg Berlanti and Michael Bay, in collaboration of Vortex.
The film was released as a part of launching Vortex's fourth premium concept car, Metanoa in 15 June 2020 at the same time.
The light novel adaptation has released in 15 October 2020, published by Dengeki Bunko.
Plot[]
Kyung-soo and his college friends was graduated from college. He drives his late father's Mitsubishi Delica Starwagon Van. He had a plans to have a big vacation. Looking forward to a big vacation, he goes to revamp his Starwagon into a new look. Concealing the real reason, Kyung-soo goes home and show his revamped car, Metanoia, and tells his friends they are traveling to Bogor.
During their trip, Kyungsoo and his friends have many mishaps, which include flushing out a trio of raccoons with a stink bomb, and fixing a clogged sewage system. Along the way, the campers meet another traveling family, the Gornickes, consisting of Travis, Mary Jo, and their children, Earl, Billy, and Moon. They thinking that the Gornickes are too strange for them, Kyungsoo decide to ditch them; when the Gornickes reappear at another stop, the campers believe they are stalking them. Meanwhile, Kyungsoo tries to chatting with his mother with his phone; eventually, a music artist named Lauv steals the phone, leaving Kyungsoo devastated. The Gornickes then recover the stolen laptop after picking up the same music artist and successfully meet him again to give the phone back to Kyungsoo while he was fill up his Metanoia.
Eventually, the campers begin to enjoy their camp, but, NCT 127 and Red Velvet comes to meet him, because Kyungsoo is their super fan. In order to meet them, Kyungsoo distracts his friends by permission and sends them on a hike. The meeting with the K-Pop idols is a success, and Kyungsoo and his friends are invited to have a concert in Bogor Convention. Rushing back to his friends in the Metanoia, Kyungsoo takes a treacherous 4 wheel drive trail, and gets the huge RV stuck atop a jutting boulder in the middle of the trail. Kyungsoo eventually manages to dislodge the RV from the boulder by getting on the front and rocking it until it eventually wobbles and tips forward enough to slide down from atop the boulder. Now riding on the front while it is traveling at a frenzied pace, Kyungsoo barely manages to return to his friends in time, and tells his friends to go to their last trip, the concert.
At night, the campers was surprised when the Gornickes are invited too, and befriend them. NCT and Red Velvet are in concert, but was disrupted by Kyungsoo's rival from high school, Todd. Minhyuk gets angry at Todd and flips him over his shoulder. Todd is arrested, and the campers goes home with Kyungsoo's favourite music, Rhythm TA.
